Eliza Logan + Melissa King + Josef Ber - Wanna Go Home, Baby?
|
"Wanna Go Home, Baby? is energetic, funny and nicely performed...there is a vital theatricality and a vivid imagination at work here..."
Stephen Dunne - SYDNEY MORNING HERALD |
Devised piece based on work of T.S Eliot. Downstairs Belvoir St (B Sharp) October 2000
Wanna Go Home, Baby is constructed from fragments of The Waste Land, Sweeney Agonistes and the Sweeney poems of T.S Eliot and found texts. A lie detector, the true story of an exploding egg, and a little bit of Follies … Part music hall, part detective story Wanna Go Home, Baby? is a fantasia that delves into the comedy and terror of our lives.
Wanna Go Home, Baby? explores attraction, fixation, regret and fantasy. Ideals, bodies, time. Freefalling into a mounting chaos we articulate the horror of a second hand nightmare.
