1999 - Polly Blue by Belinda Bradley

By Belinda Bradley - Downstairs Belvoir St (B Sharp) October 1999

Polly Blue is the story of George and his wife - Mary - who are caretakers of a run down boarding house.  Their lives together have become mundane, predictable and fraught with the secrets and lies of long married life.

It is into this spiritual wasteland that the seductive Polly arrives.  George begins a fantasy adventure with a woman he cannot even bring himself to speak to.  And so, together with the chorus of tenants and the audience unravel the mystery of George’s death and Mary’s silence.

Polly Blue is published by Currency Press.
